WHY BE BAPTIZED?
Matthew 28:18-20 (NLT)
Jesus came and told his disciples, “I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth. Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”

Baptism is more than just a religious ritual—it’s a powerful step of obedience and faith.
Jesus Himself was baptized (Matthew 3:13–17), setting the example for all who follow Him. He later commanded His disciples, “Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit” (Matthew 28:19, NLT).
Why should we be baptized?
Baptism doesn’t save us—only faith in Jesus alone does (Ephesians 2:8–9). But baptism is an important step of obedience that strengthens our walk with God and testifies to the world that we belong to Him.

Why should we be baptized?
- Obedience to Christ – Baptism is a public declaration that we belong to Jesus and are willing to follow Him.
- Symbol of New Life – It represents being washed clean from sin and raised to a new life in Christ (Romans 6:4).
- Public Testimony – Baptism is an outward sign of the inward change God has made in us. It’s a way of telling others, “I am a follower of Jesus.”
